Photos from Our Project
You don't need to rewire your ceiling light to get the look of a hand-blown pendant lamp.

This was a builder's grade 'boob light' otherwise known as a flush-mount dome light.

Now it looks like something out of an Italian castle.

You can even do this if you are renting.

All you'll need is a metal hanging basket, some hooks with anchors, and bowls that you can decorate with gems and glass paint.

The baskets come in lots of styles and colors.

Of course, paint can make any element of this project unique.

We hand-colored some glass gems to get an irridescent look.

We used transparent spray paint to tint these acrylic bowls.

We even spray painted our hooks our favoirte shade of brown.

These Victorian pressed glass bowls are like a 3D coloring books.

The glass paint we prefer is called Pebeo. You can check the price of a beginner's set in the supplies section at the top of this post.
