Old house lattice garden …
The old house project is colorfully coming along …
thanks to self-seeding flowers that come up in every available crack.
Originally this corner looked like a black and white photo.
Before and after fresh paint …
Paint preserved it, and only a few pieces have needed repair over the years …
I had help with the high places. Sweet!
Bit-by-bit we rescued this corner … then quickly moved on to more needy areas.
Now when we approach this corner in high summer, this is what we see.
As I rush by, I pull weeds and cut enough flowers for a bunch …
I never thought of putting these colors together, but nature knew best.
Now I look forward to this riot of color every summer.
