Easy Stained Glass Plate Racks and Painted Vintage Glass

We love stained glass and here's our way to get the look easily using thrifted plate racks and colorful dishes.

Photos can't do these dazzling plates justice. This is vintage Indiana Glass painted with Pébéo Vitrail, a premium glass paint product.
We found the racks on Facebook Marketplace and used cardboard circles so that we could hang them in the perfect spot in our windows.
We painted the racks a medium gray to look more like lead.
The finished stained glass window effect was made by painting Indian glass plates with Pébéo Vitrail glass paint.
The swivel hangers used made it easy to hang the racks.
The hook on the window frame shown below.
Adding faux mullions on either side of the racks draws your eye to the design.
The mullions were made with shelf edging painted white, held against the window with mounting putty on the top and bottom.
This high-end glass paint made the stained glass effect on vintage dishes so much fun. We're doing a tutorial on this craft next.
